Cymanfa Ganu is a Festival of singing in the Welsh tradition of Christianity. It welcomes all religions and ethnicities and its statement of intent is “Cenwch i’r Arglwydd” (“Sing to the
Lord”). It traditionally takes place in a grand cathedral with hymns sung in Welsh by the congregation in 4-part harmony to the accompaniment of the church organ.
Auckland Welsh Choir was invited to the Cymanfa together with the North Shore Male Choir.
